DeconDust™ is a fast, effective, and safe dry powder for neutralizing chemical threats. Developed for law enforcement and emergency responders, it's ideal for use in crowd control and civil unrest situations.
DeconDust™ (powered with Timilon) is a fine, white, and odorless powder. It uses a metal oxide technology composed primarily of magnesium oxide (65-90%) and titanium dioxide (10-35%). The powder neutralizes chemical threats by physically binding to them and breaking them down on contact in a process called destructive adsorption.
Dry Formulation: No water, setup, or specialized infrastructure is required for use, making it perfect for mobile and urban environments.
Rapid Neutralization: It rapidly neutralizes liquid hazards, reducing injury severity and limiting the spread of chemicals.
Safety: DeconDust™ It rapidly neutralizes both liquid and vapor hazards, reducing injury severity and limiting the spread of chemicals.
Easy to Use: Minimal training is needed for effective operation.
Â
DeconDust™ is effective against a broad spectrum of chemical agents, including:
Riot Control Agents: This includes common irritants like OC (oleoresin capsicum), as well as tear gases like CS, CN, and CR. It decontaminates these agents on surfaces, allowing for safer cleanup and reoccupation of affected areas.
Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs): The product is highly effective against contaminants such as chlorine, hydrogen chloride, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide.
Acids and Caustics: It provides immediate neutralization of corrosive substances like sulfuric, hydrochloric, and nitric acids, which are often used in attacks to cause severe burns and disfigurement.
DeconDustâ„¢ has undergone extensive testing and certification to ensure its reliability and safety.
Certifications: The product uses technology backed by certifications such as CE Class I Non-Sterile Medical Device for its wipes and mitts, TGA Certificate (Australia), EC Declaration of Conformity, EAR99 Certification, CE Certificate (Cylinder), and UKCA Certificate (Cylinder).
Third-Party Testing: Its efficacy has been validated through tests conducted by organizations including Battelle, OPCW Netherlands, and Lloyd's.
Safety Testing: Safety has been confirmed by institutions such as the U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (CHPPM), MPI Research, Nelson Labs, and Kansas State University.
DeconDust™ offers a modern, efficient, and safe alternative to traditional decontamination methods like wet decontamination with water and soap/surfactants.
Reliable: It is a field-validated technology designed for real-world threats.
Practical: Its dry formulation makes cleanup quicker and easier.
Non-toxic: When neutralizing harmful chemicals, it creates byproducts and immobilizes them on the powder's surface, making the situation safer.
Versatile: Formulated for decontaminating skin, personal gear, equipment, vehicles, and for neutralizing liquid threats.
